We are a Motor Trade Partnership member

Motor Trade Partnership logo

What is the West Yorkshire Motor Trade Partnership?
The Partnership was created in response to the number of complaints received each year by Trading Standards that related to the Motor Industry. The Consumer Helpline takes an average 70,000 calls per year from the public and of these 19% concern problems with vehicle sales, servicing, repair and parts. The Partnership's ultimate aim is to provide help, advice and guidance to consumers and scheme members alike to assist them in resolving any disputes that may arise. The Partnership gives consumers greater confidence. By choosing a scheme member they can be assured that the member has been audited by West Yorkshire Trading Standards and has agreed to abide by the terms and conditions of membership. It gives consumers another means with which to resolve any complaint.

Our In House Art Exhibition

Jade logo

On display in our showrooms you will find a stunning display of original oil paintings and weavings by a local artist & photographer based in Hebden Bridge. Prior to 1995 Jade Smith worked in the fields of social work, teaching and counselling. However, after being diagnosed with a medical condition that can result in a physical disability she had to find something to do which involved a lot of sitting down! This was the beginning of her journey into the world of art. Jade began by attending a watercolour painting course, then enrolled on an art access course and, after taking 'A' level art in the year 2000 (& passing), decided she should take her talent a little more seriously. What became clear during her training is that she loved landscapes, primarily big mountainous vistas and also that she enjoyed experimenting with colour. Her paintings record this fascination with mountains and how and why it is they are viewed with awe. She incorporates into the images bold simple shapes thus creating a strong sense of space. Her use of colour is an exploration of the human journey which in some moments is dark and rough and in others seemingly smooth and light. Jade's aim now is to continue to experiment with bewitching mountains and dazzling skies and endeavour to bring as much colour into the world as possible! Please feel free to view the display on our walls (free of charge) and record your comments in the Visitor Book
